South of the Border
Posted on December 6, 2005
This weekend I visited a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut combo in the southern part of the state. Rightfully so, I have adjusted my boycott of Taco Bell to just include the Erie area restaurants. My visit this weekend was quick, the tables cleanly, the cashier was nice and cheerful, the food was hot and good, and the place took plastic directly instead of the stupid funny-money the Erie stores make you buy.

My roommate and I often go to one of the Kentucky Fried Taco Huts in Mount Oliver. Food is quite good there, and the staff is pretty friendly.
Just don’t go on Tuesday nights…that’s Ghetto Night.
I have vistited a Taco Bell in Arlington Virginia on several occassions and found the service to be spectacular. Unlike the Erie locations, the seating area did not smelll like urine and they gladly accepted my ATM card. I think it is time for a regime change at the Erie Franchises.
I went back there this week and had even better service and it took less than 5 minutes to get cashed out and get our food.
taco bell (in my opinion) is a truly genius concept. I mean they take the same ingredients and give it fifty different names and various prices…but its always cheap consistently satisfying indigestion. its a winner in my book
